Have a Wedding Disco

On your SPECIAL DAY you quite obviously want the Very Best of everything, Photographer, Video, Hotel, Dresses, to name but a few, so why cut down on that Quality when it comes to entertainment. When booking a Disco ask yourself the following questions,

  • 1, What experience does the DJ have?
After all Weddings are a very SPECIALIZED field requiring a DJ with the skills to interact with your guests and a VAST musical library to suit all tastes and to help create the right PARTY ATMOSPHERE!

  • 2. What equipment does the DJ have?
If the DJs rates are cheap then it is very unlikely that they will have Top Quality equipment.

  • 3. Does YOUR DJ have a Personality?
A silly question you might say but remember that in order to work with your guests and to create the right atmosphere your DJ needs to have that kind of personality. A "CLUB DJ" does not interact at all with his crowd so therefore will struggle with a crowd at a Wedding Party.

  • 4. CONTRACTS.
A Good DJ will give you a written contract confirming ALL details of your booking.
Be wary of a DJ that does not provide written documentation. Too often we hear of Wedding Parties where NO Contract was exchanged and sometimes where the DJ was a "Friend" of the family. These situations can cause serious problems, remember that YOUR Party is not the time to mix business with friendship. You may have a very capable "Friend" who has offered his DJ services at a discounted rate, but if he does not perform well or worse still, does not turn up, what comeback do you have. A PARTY ruined as well as a friendship.

  • 5. PROMOTIONAL VIDEOS.
Do not accept promotional videos as examples of work because these videos are edited in such a way as to enhance the Disco. What you see is not necessarily what you get, after all would the DJ send you a "BAD" video, definitely not.

Your best way to decide on your Disco is to seek recommendations from the hotel in which your reception is booked as they will only recommend Discos they have been happy with. Or perhaps you have seen a DJ yourself at a Party or even a referral from a friend. You should always contact your Disco supplier by telephone and in doing so you will get a good feel of their personality and more importantly you should feel confident in their ability.

Pay attention to the questions you are asked as this will give you a good idea of just how well organized they are.

Most Importantly they should be seeking your Input and musical requirements and not dictating their views to you, "IT IS YOUR NIGHT"!
